Meet The Team
Co-founders, Josh and Andy met in 2003 as teenagers at summer camp in Chautauqua, New York. After high school they both moved around quite a bit for college and career ventures. They settled in Colorado in 2009 and love how outdoor oriented the community is here.
Their two young sons; Phoenix and Jasper inherited their love for nature and can most often be found playing outside. After graduating from college, Josh worked as a chef for Frasca Food and Wine as well as Dry Storage, and Andy taught at Colorado Ballet and the Jewish Community Center. However, when the pandemic set in, they were both laid off and had to come up with another source of income, which is how their family business was born!
In March of 2022 they opened Mountain Mineral Market and two weeks later they welcomed their second child, Jasper. Since then it has been a whirlwind of work, fun, and adventures! They are so grateful for this opportunity to share their passion for the natural wonders of the earth with others!
Mica
Our Shop Dog
Mica is the shop dog at Mountain Mineral Market. He is a two year old bloodhound/mastiff mix who was born on Rachel‘s Farm up in Boulder. Rachel rescues dogs from all around the country who are in shelters and are on euthanizing lists. Mica‘s dog Mom, Rhonda and his dog dad Leroy were two of her rescues who had a litter of puppies. Mica’s favorite part of every day is coming into the shop and meeting all of the wonderful visitors who come say hello to him.
He loves everyone and almost everything except for thunderstorms and fireworks and he’s so excited to meet you!
